Susan's Script

At last…..I have my own Sudoko book J! (it even has tips by Carol Vorderman)  Until now I’ve had to borrow one from Darren or Elspeth.  I gave them each a copy of the same book at Christmas so they could race each other.  Guess who always wins?  Even with my new tips and practice, I don’t think I’ll ever beat her.

The weekend Catriona described was our special weekend.  We couldn’t get away for a break so we had 3 days of treats instead.  Unfortunately, since then the girls & I have been quite ill with stomach upsets, fevers, coughs & colds.

I’m still learning Khmer every day.  I’ve started using SACAWAC for learning spelling (See And Cover And Write And Check) which Elspeth used to do in Carolside Primary.  I still have a long way to go before I can fully understand & be understood in Khmer.

We are getting along well with our neighbours.  I’m hoping that Rayvan will take me to a tailor she knows so I can get a special top made for attending weddings.

This week I’ve started a drama club at Hope school.  It will only run for 4 weeks but I’ve enjoyed planning it.  It reminds me of dramas from holiday clubs in the Barn Church etc.  I’ve also been asked to liaise with a British team who are coming to run the children’s programme at our annual team conference in August.  This is a highlight of the year for both parents and children.  We have a great time of sharing what is going on throughout Cambodia in OMF teams and the children have a wonderful time.
