Prayer Diary

Susan, Elspeth and Catriona Wall
Hello! In March 2005 we
arrived in Cambodia. We are members of the OMF International Cambodia Team of
about 75 adults plus lots of children. Having spent almost a year in full-time
language study, Darren took over the role of Team Business Manager in May 2006,
whilst Susan started teaching at our girls’ school from August 2006.
Our two lovely daughters
Elspeth, born 16/10/97, and Catriona, born 24/10/99, currently go to Hope
International School.
Our experience during these
last 2 years has been one of experiencing God’s grace in a powerful way as
people have prayed into the situations we have highlighted in our prayer letters
(see the ‘what’s new’ page for these). We are immensely grateful to those who
work so hard in praying with and for us. Below are some prayer issues (in
addition to those in our monthly Prayer News Bulletins) that you might consider
praying through in your times of prayer.
Please
print and keep the following in your Bible
‘Our
Father in heaven, hallowed be your name’
-
Pray that our top priority
would be worshiping God, particularly in the midst of busy and tiring periods
in our Team Support roles.
-
Pray that when the team
gathers for worship, we would expect God to be there and for there to be
unity.
-
Pray that many Cambodian
people will be drawn to worship God and honour His Name.
‘your
kingdom come’
-
Pray that God will rule
over us each day and that we will have the grace to obey him in the details of
life.
-
Pray that God will change
us and Cambodian believers to be more like Jesus.
‘your will
be done on earth as it is in heaven.’
-
Pray that God will bless
our day-to-day work – that in our Team Support roles we would know grace and
wisdom from God to be effective for His glory
-
Pray for obstacles, which
keep local and international Christians from doing God’s will in
Cambodia,
to be removed.
‘Give us this day our daily
bread.’
-
Pray that God will supply
all our needs.
-
Pray that the
disadvantaged in Cambodia would cry out to God and find his help and favour.
‘Forgive us
our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.’
-
Pray that we would have
the grace to freely forgive anyone who does us wrong.
-
Pray that many Cambodians
would ask God to forgive their debt of sin.
‘And lead
us not into temptation’
-
Pray that we would have
the grace to take wrong thinking captive and make it obedient to Christ.
-
Pray for Cambodian
believers to withstand pressures to renounce their faith and engage in
culturally accepted Buddhist or animistic practices
‘but
deliver us from the evil one.’
-
Pray that God will protect
our family, colleagues and work from all harm.
-
Pray that independent
Cambodian churches will be established regardless of any attempts of the evil
one.
