Health Update

Click for larger image. More on Elspeth and Catriona's cornersDarren, Susan and Espeth have been very poorly since Tuesday 12th September. Blood tests show that Darren and Elspeth had a viral infection but Susan had Dengue Fever. Susan has been in Bangkok for treatment.

November 21st Susan is still off all lessons whilst Darren is only just getting back into regular language study having been variously in and out of the country (and rather busy) since July.
Elspeth and Catriona are keeping well, however they are suffering the effects of mummy not being able to give them the attention they normally receive. They have been variously easily upset or clamouring for more attention.

Many thanks for your continued support

Hello, we are the Wall family, Darren, Susan, Elspeth (9) and Catriona (7).

Our home is in Inverness where Darren flew with the RAF and Susan was a teacher.  Even before we were married in 1995, we both felt the Lord might be calling us to serve Him overseas and so, in 1999, we started a process of enquiry and subsequent application to serve with OMF International.

During that process, the Lord confirmed his calling for us to serve Him in Cambodia.  At the end of 2003 we moved to Glasgow where we studied at International Christian College in preparation for this service.

In March 2005 we arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.  During our first year here we completed the initial phase of full time Khmer language study, settled into a Khmer neighbourhood and started worshipping at a Khmer church which meets close to outr home.  The girls are attending Hope International School, a British curriculum school here in Phnom Penh.

In May 2006, Darren took over the role of the OMF Cambodia Team Business Manager, for the Team of approximately 75 adults and 35 children.  In August 2006, Susan started teaching part-time at Hope International School.  She also provides relief management for the OMF Team Centre in Phnom Penh as well as running a weekly club for the OMF children.

We have been privileged to be called by God to serve Him and experience His grace in what is an exciting church growth environment.  We are, though, one part of a much bigger team, probably including you, that God has brought together to fulfil His Kingdom purposes in this ministry. We thank you for your interest in this work, trusting that you will know God’s blessing in this.
